Old English, sometimes known as Anglo-Saxon, was spoken in England during the early Middle Ages (6th-11thc.) Ex:
Nu sculon herigean heofonrices Weard Middle English was spoken in England from around 1100 to 1500 (late Middle Ages). Ex: Derk was the night as pich or as the cole Modern English has been spoken from the Renaissance to the present. Ex: I am thy father's spirit, Doom'd for a certain time to walk the night.
