Radford Hall
The English Club
Department of English, University of Wisconsin Oshkosh
"A powerful agent is the right word. Whenever we come upon one of those intensely right words, the resulting effect is physical as well as spiritual, and electrically prompt."
--Mark TwainThe English Club serves English Majors, Minors, and all interested persons who have a desire to explore the realm of English Studies. It also serves as a forum for students to comment and support one another in their English pursuits. The Club also functions as a way in which English Majors can connect with other majors on campus. Not only does the English Club work to serve its members and college community as a whole, it also serves as an excellent resume builder. Members of the English Club also have the opportunity to meet and talk exclusively with faculty members, as well as establish and maintain communication throughout their college career.
Have some fun, meet other English Majors, learn about the major, and share ideas concerning English Studies as well as plans for the upcoming semester!
Meetings are every other Thursday in the Radford Reading Room 217 at 4p.m. Join us for discussions about literary criticism, fiction writing, rhetoric and philosophy, as well as upcoming events.
