The English Club
Department of English, University of Wisconsin Oshkosh
“I cannot live without books”
-Thomas JeffersonThe English Club serves English Majors, Minors, and all interested persons who have a desire to explore the realm of English Studies. It also serves as a forum for students to comment and support one another in their English pursuits. The Club also functions as a way in which English Majors can connect with other majors on campus. Not only does the English Club work to serve its members and college community as a whole, it also serves as an excellent resume builder. Members of the English Club also have the opportunity to meet and talk exclusively with faculty members, as well as establish and maintain communication throughout their college career.
Have some fun, meet other English Majors, learn about the major, and share ideas concerning English Studies as well as plans for the upcoming semester!
Meetings are every Monday at 7 p.m. in Reeve Room 219. As a member you will:
- Have the opportunity to be an integral part of planning and discussing upcoming events.
- Get to interact with professors on a more personal basis outside the classroom.
- Connect with other majors/ minors with similar interests and questions and share advice on different classes in the English Department.
- Build your resume along with leadership/teamwork skills.
