Title: Images of Masculinity

Course: WBIS 188

Section: 009, 010

Instructor: Instructor

What does it mean to be "masculine"? This is a question with powerful implications for both men and women, boys and girls, in any society. What are the images our culture produces regarding masculinity? In what ways do we consume those images? Are they particular to our society, or do they suggest something eternal about the "male" (or the "female") of our species? These are among the many questions about the cultural production of masculinity that we will address in this seminar.
