Title: Creating Identity

Course: WBIS 188

Section: 005

Instructor: Boehler, Karl

Creating Identity will look at the many ways that Americans create images of themselves: as individuals, as families, and even as nations. By looking at a wide variety of topics--from sports teams to King Phillip's War--we will explore how language and images are used to manufacture a self, an identifiable ego that is different from, and needs to be protected from, other identifiable selves.
